Mail Order
You don't have to live in Devon to benefit from St Bridget's plants!
Currently we offer two UK* mail order services:
Standard: A 3-5 working day courier service (plants are dispatched on a Monday or Tuesday so they are delivered before a weekend).
Premium: A next day service where plants are delivered the next working day.
Because we know how vulnerable plants can be, we take great care and attention in our packing. If we feel your plant would suffer in transit we will always let you know the risk and suggest sending it at a later date (e.g. after a severe heatwave or when a plant has less soft growth which is subject to damage).
*Nearly all areas of the UK are covered with the exception of some remote Scottish postcodes.
At present, our mail order delivery charge is based on the weight of your order. Simply send us an e-mail or call with a list of the plants you require and your delivery postcode, we will then send you an accurate quite for your consideration.
Bare Rooted Plants
Plants grown in the open ground can be delivered bare rooted - plants are sold with the roots exposed, rather than in soil.
Not all types of plants can handle being delivered this way at present we use the method for roses, fruit, small trees and some shrubs. Plants can only be sent by this method when they are dormant which is typically November to March. Further details of open ground plants are within our plant list.
As a guideline the following weights and costs can be used:
1 x 2 litre shrub weighs 2kg = £6.60 standard £19.20 Next Day
1 x 3 litre shrub weighs 3kg = £9.60 standard £20.40 Next Day
1 x 5 litre shrub weighs 4kg = £9.60 standard £20.40 Next Day

Prices marked with an * are using Royal Mail's First Class Service which is the most economical next day delivery. However, it is not guaranteed next day and is subject to Royal Mail's conditions of postage and delivery timescales. A guaranteed next day service is also available please ask for these prices when contacting us.
